What do you do when your momma turns off the router? You go to the nearest park (FREE WIFI AROUND BAHRAIN)

Batelco just announced the launch of its latest initiative to provide free internet services across Bahrain in partnership with the Ministry of Works, Municipal Affairs, and Urban Planning. This comes under the directives of His Royal Highness the Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa.

The free internet service will be provided at key locations including tourist attractions, public facilities such as parks, gardens, and coastlines. According to a statement made by Batelco, the services will be available to all citizens, residents, and tourists.

Batelco’s customers will automatically connect to the free WiFi once they enter a public space, while others will have to access the internet through a specialized webpage.

“Batelco is committed towards providing Smart City solutions to support the kingdom’s efforts in maintaining its position in the global marketplace,” said Batelco chairman Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa.

He also mentioned that this new service comes as part of Batelco’s commitment towards providing Smart City solutions to support Bahrain’s efforts in maintaining its position in the global marketplace.

“This initiative reiterates Batelco’s support and commitment towards the Kingdom’s 2030 vision.”

Several locations already have operational internet services including the Bahrain International Circuit, Seef Mall Muharraq, and Seef Mall Seef District, as well as other commercial complexes. The service will soon be available in other key locations across the Kingdom including Prince Khalifa Park, Al Estiqlal Park in Riffa, A’ali Walkway, Adhari Park, Tubli Walkway, Al Andalus Park and Al Salmaniya Park.
