This Bahraini athlete just won the silver medal at the IBJJF Dallas

It seems like every cloud really does have its silver lining, as an ongoing pandemic didn’t come in the way of this Bahraini athlete, Ali Monfaradi, from winning the Silver in the International Jiu Jitsu Championship (see what we did there? silver and silver? no? okay).

The IBJJF Dallas International Open No Gi Championship was held in North Richland Hills, Dallas, on Sunday, March 7th. Ali competed at the highest level of Adult Black Belt Lightweight category among other top tier Jiu jitsu champions from the United States and Brazil.

It’s noteworthy to mention that Seena Monfaradi, Ali’s father, had also bagged 4 medals during the two day championship; including a 2nd place win at the Open Weight Category.

Ali will be continuing the season with more championship fights scheduled over the next few week
