The UAE just signed an MoU with Oxford, find out why

The UAE just signed a new three-year agreement with Oxford University to provide training to Emirati officials, employees, and students in the field of Artificial Intelligence.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by Omar bin Sultan Al Olama, the UAE’s Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, and Roger L Michel, Founder and Executive Director of the Oxford Centre for Future Design.

According to Roger L Michel, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid and the Government’s support enabled the Centre for Future Design to expand their innovation program which is aimed at providing a smarter and more efficient way of life.

“The memorandum represents a stepping stone for developing the UAE Artificial Intelligence Strategy, launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, in October 2017 as the first UAE Centennial 2017 initiative to ensure artificial intelligence will be an integral part of government workers across all platforms,” added the Minister during signing.
