Tamkeen supported Bahrain’s pavilion at GITEX technology 2014 exhibition set to be held in Dubai between 12 and 16 October, where seven Bahraini enterprises will be exhibiting their products and services.
GITEX is a key global event that brings together information technology companies and experts from around the globe. More than 3,700 exhibitors from 61 countries are participating in the 2014 edition of the exhibition, and it is expected to attract more than 100,000 visitors. Tamkeen supported the participation of more than 100 enterprises in GITEX over the last few years.
Bahrain’s pavilion in GITEX 2014 will include Customer Engagement representation dedicated to enterprise support from Tamkeen, along with the participating companies that represent different specialisations, such as designing, developing, and programming smartphone applications, another offering IT training and education, and a third providing consultations on software operating solutions.
Commenting on the announcement, Mohammed Bucheery, Tamkeen’s Vice President for Private Sector Support, said: “This is the 7th time that Tamkeen has supported Bahrain’s pavilion at GITEX, as the participating enterprises showed the importance of their participation in the exhibition for the growth and development of their businesses given that GITEX is a quality global event that connects ICT companies with their partners and customers, and provides an excellent platform for building trade relations and expanding into local and regional markets.”
Mr. Yasir Zamir, Marketing Executive at Digital Middle East, one of the participating companies at the Bahrain Pavilion, commented: “This is our third straight participation at GITEX Exhibition, which has continuously allowed us to reach out to potential prospects in the region. In this this year’s Exhibition, we are especially looking to learn more about emerging technologies that we can then customise further and tailor to meet the needs of our clients and customers back in Bahrain.”
Commenting on their participation, Mishal Hamza, Business Development Manager at Al Nadeem Information Technology, said: “This is the 6th time that we have participated in GITEX, one of the biggest events that we partake in. We have continuously strived to be a part of this event to be able to create awareness about our products and services and to learn about state-of-the-art technologies that are available within the field of I.T. In this year’s exhibition, we are especially looking to form partnerships with potential companies in order to sell our latest in house developed products that include content management systems and e-commerce platforms.”
