In line with the Global Entrepreneurship Congress (GEC), a transition ceremony was held in Istanbul, highlighting the Kingdom of Bahrain’s preparations in hosting the next edition of the Congress in April 2019. In additions to the Kingdom’s offers and initiatives to support the diversity and innovation in the entrepreneurial ecosystem and contribute to building a vital and sustainable economy.
“This event comes in line with the country’s growing interest to expand investment in entrepreneurship, by facilitating specially designed initiatives to support the growth of a robust entrepreneurial eco-system.” Stated Dr. Ebrahim Mohammed Janahi Chief Executive of Labour Fund “Tamkeen”.
“This growing local eco-system has produced numerous success stories, positioning Bahrain as an ideal market for innovators to launch their concepts and access the wider MENA region.” Dr. Janahi added.
A panel discussion was held during the transition ceremony featuring the Bahraini delegation represented by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism, Bahrain Tourism & Exhibitions Authority, Bahrain Economic Development Board “EDB” and the Labour Fund “Tamkeen” where the speakers discussed entrepreneurship and the economic diversity supported by productivity and innovation, as well as the economic regulations in the Kingdom of Bahrain which allow startups to launch, expand and maintain sustainability.
Discussed the opportunities on offer in the Kingdom of Bahrain, where access to funds and advisory is available for all businesses and individuals in a prepped ecosystem that’ll reward innovators and equip entrepreneurs with the right tools and support that’ll achieve Bahrain’s economic vision.
