Samsung Electronics announced that it will be showcasing eight innovative AI-projects created from their C-Lab (Creative Lab) program. The projects will display from January 8th until 11th at CES 2019 in Eureka Park, Las Vegas.
The projects include:
Tisplay – An in-video virtual ad service- aiMo – An ASMR sound recording solution
- Medeo – An instant video-making service
Prismit – An AI news analysis service- Perfume Blender – A custom perfume making service
- Girin Monitor Stand – An auto-adjusting monitor
- alight – An AI desk light
- SnailSound – Hearing assistant solution
Besides the AI project, there will be eight startups who spun off from C-Lab, that will showcase their newly released commercial products at CES to explore new business opportunities. The startups include Mopic, Linkflow,
According to Samsung, during the CES 2019 event, C-Lab will be introducing the biggest number of projects it has ever developed since its CES debut in 2016. The company mentions that this will help them refine their projects and prepare prototypes that will help them turn them into finished, ready for the market products.
C-Lab was launched in 2012 as an in-house idea incubation program that encourages creative corporate culture and nurtures innovative ideas from Samsung employees. In 2015, they introduced the spin-off policy that helps Samsung employees that completed C-Lap project to launch their own startup.
Samsung supports the spin-off companies with seed money investment and business consulting to accelerate, while still maintaining their independency.
