A Saudi university, Prince Sultan has collaborated with Red Hat, which is a leading provider of open source solutions, in order to create the King Salman Education for Employment Program Red Hat Academy.
The Red Hat Academy is basically an open source, web-managed education platform designed to provide academic institutions with curriculum materials to start an open source and Linux curriculum program. According to a statement from the university, the new program is directed towards recent graduates who are in need of practical training to compete in today’s job’s market.
Ibrahim Al Ghemlas, Director of the community services and continuing education center at Prince Sultan University said: “Red Hat will be collaborating with us to offer multiple certification programs in system administration and open stack administration. Red Hat is an exciting addition to our King Salman Education for Employment academies and we look forward to a long and beneficial collaboration with the company.”
