Missed Brinc’s Demo Day? Come meet their startups here!

Under the patronage of His Excellency Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications Kamal bin Ahmed Mohammed, Internet of Things accelerator Brinc hosted a Demo Day for the second cycle of their MENA accelerator program at the Brinc Batelco IoT Hub. Titled “IoT Journey, From Bahrain to China”, the event highlighted the sophisticated relationship and cooperation between China and Bahrain and allowed the three startups from the accelerator, Zerek Technologies, Kenndah, and Kanooq, to pitch their innovative IoT products to top-tier regional and international investors.

The three teams are:

  1. Zerek Technologies designs and manufactures IoT products for enterprises, connecting workers of enterprises to decision makers using sensing, computing and analytics technologies. Founded by Pratik Jani, Zerek’s innovative product is Aadi, a smart wearable that enhances workforce safety and productivity.
  2. Kenddah traces temperature-sensitive shipments in real-time and notifies supply chain managers to prompt action during the shipping process. Founded by Mohammad Shakhatreh and Abdallah Alawneh, the IoT device uses roaming cellular connection to inform the concerned parties through automated SMS, emails, and recorded calls when the temperature of a shipment exceeds the specified limits.
  3. Kanooq offers data-driven safety monitoring solutions in industrial applications like oil pipelines and autonomous vehicles. Founded by Eyad AlNuweiri and Ahmed Shalash, the infrastructure platform Nervius connects all assets in oil and gas operations.

Demo Day is a unique platform for meeting startup founders and networking with investors, corporate strategists, government partners, and press.

In July 2018, Brinc launched in Bahrain, offering investment, education, mentorship, services, prototyping tools, and co-working space startups.
