Press Release.
Kuwait, 15 March, 2021: Darisni, DARS’ award-winning e-learning platform recently launched a coding certification course on the App, through an exclusive partnership with kuwait technical college (ktech), one of Kuwait’s premiere Information Science & Technology colleges.
The coding course will take students on a learning journey, giving them a step-by-step introduction to coding and how they can use this skill to build their own websites, apps and games, with quizzes after each step to test their level of understanding, concluding with a comprehensive test.
The coding course primarily focuses on teaching students how to program in the Python programming language – a language widely used by technological powerhouses such as Netflix, Spotify, Google, Dropbox and many more.
Coding is expected to become a crucial learning tool in the near future perhaps becoming as important as math, science or language subjects. Keeping this mind, the Darisni learning path will help coding enthusiasts take a more structured approach to this highly in-demand skill.
However, coding is not solely meant for those looking to become software engineers; learning to code also helps students develop computational thinking skills, enabling them to not only perform better in their academics, but also solve real-life based problems.
Commenting on the partnership, Dars Founder & CEO, Noor Boodai said, “Empowering learners has always been our priority, be it by helping them grasp academic concepts or by learning new skills. The launch of the coding learning path on Darisni is our effort to make this increasingly popular skill more accessible to students everywhere. And given that ktech is one of the best technology institutions in the country, there couldn’t have been a better partner to further this effort with.”
ktech has sought to educate students in a way that supports Kuwait’s market needs and economic growth in turn also helping the youth in the country jumpstart their own careers. The launch of the coding course is yet another step in this direction. “We have always dedicated our resources in creating a culture of shared excellence with our stakeholders by closely aligning our purpose with the economic aspirations of the State.
The rise of a digital economy, the growing number of tech-based solutions have given rise to the demand for a workforce that can support this rapid growth in our country. Talk to any tech company, and their biggest challenge is finding talented coders locally. We at ktech along with Darisni are trying to close that gap,” said Mishari Boodai, Chairman, ktech.
Since its inception, Dars’ has led the region in meeting the demand of today’s digital educators and learners, through adaptive and accessible educational tools that go beyond the traditional one-size-fits-all, rigid paper-based learning.
Darisni, which is DARS’ maiden project, was designed after years of research into the everyday challenges that students’ face when looking for assistance with their courses after school. With private tutoring being expensive and sometimes unreachable, Darisni gives students a way to access on-demand tutoring, while also providing them various tools like online study paths and assessments, that further enhance their self-study effort.
