INJAZ Bahrain held its annual appreciation ceremony in recognition of all supporters and volunteers who participated throughout the 2018/2019 academic year. The sponsors, held at Art Rotana-Amwaj on Monday evening, was attended by Hana Sawrani, INJAZ Bahrain Executive Director, INJAZ Bahrain board members, partners, supporters, sponsors and over 70 of its volunteers.
INJAZ Bahrain honored officials and volunteers who actively engaged in the organization’s programs, for all their efforts in supporting INJAZ Bahrain vision in inspiring and preparing Bahraini youth to succeed in the global economy. The ceremony was followed by an appreciation dinner and raffle draws.
During an inspiring speech, delivered by Ms. Hana Sawrani, INJAZ Bahrain’s executive director, she expressed her gratitude to the partners and volunteers, for their collaboration with INJAZ Bahrain in implementing its programs, and accomplishing its goals, reiterating the importance of vision, teamwork, and innovation as critical success factors to ensure achievement and continuous improvement.
She stated: “We are grateful for the tremendous support we have received from our supporters and volunteers who are here today. Your involvement as individuals, corporations, and organizations has been enthusiastic across all levels from start to finish, and we wouldn’t be able to reach great success without it”.
Moreover, she praised INJAZ Bahrain’s strategic partners in the private sector for their valuable support, whether through financial backing, offering advice and guidance, or providing volunteers. As the support provided by these companies stems from their corporate social responsibility and a strong belief in the INJAZ Bahrain’s mission to equip the next generation of Bahrainis with the knowledge and skills to contribute to building Bahrain’s economic future.
Some of the yearlong supporters who received special recognition included the following: Al Salam Bank, Alba, Banagas, Bapco, Batelco, BBK, Boeing, City Bahrain, Ebrahim Khalil Kanoo, EY, Gulf Hotel Group, GPIC, HSBC, KHCB, KFH, National Bank of Bahrain, Tamkeen, YK Almoayyed and Zubi Partners.
Khalid Abdulla, a volunteer from Bapco commented: “Volunteering with INJAZ Bahrain provides a great opportunity for us to give back to the community. By volunteering to participate in these local programs, we are largely supporting INJAZ’s mission to inspire and skill-up the next generation of Bahraini entrepreneurs and business leaders in the region.”
The honorees who dedicated their time included 6 platinum category volunteers, 56 gold category volunteers and 12 silver category volunteers who were awarded for their contributing efforts.
GPIC, Bapco, Batelco, Tamkeen and Banagas were also recognized with a Volunteer Service Award for their staff who dedicated the most volunteer hours. GPIC was recognized for pledging 631 volunteer hours, Bapco giving 512 volunteer hours, Batelco giving 349 volunteer hours, Tamkeen giving 293 volunteer hours and Banagas providing 219 volunteer hours.
The ceremony also included raffles for valuable prizes presented to all the attendees in addition to a flash mob performance in an atmosphere full of fun and enthusiasm. The winning teams of the company competition were also present at the event to exhibit their creative inventions.
The event was sponsored by platinum sponsors: Bapco, GPIC, E.K.Kanoo and GFH, and silver sponsors: Gulf Air and NBB.
In accordance to its belief in the boundless potential of young people, INJAZ has been able to reach more than 200,000 students from various schools and universities over the years through more than 7,000 volunteers, aiming to inspire more students annually.
