BBBF along with Tamkeen host a meeting to discuss the latest trends in ERP

The Bahrain British Business Forum’s Special Interest Group for ICT in collaboration with the Labour Fund Tamkeen recently hosted a meeting at the Capital Club to discuss the latest trends in ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) Systems, to enable organizational efficiencies. The event brought experts from leading ERP companies including Oracle and Microsoft to explore how the organizations in the Kingdom of Bahrain can benefit.

BBBF’s joint head of ICT Special Interest Group Ravi Jayasundera welcomed the guest speakers Gary Brocklehurst (Oracle), Moutaz Al Nairab (Microsoft) and Maan Hussain (Tamkeen) to the meeting. 

In his presentation, Gary Brocklehurst highlighted how digital ERP helps the CxO stay one step ahead in a fast-changing world, whilst Moutaz Al Nairab discussed the digitalization of processes with Modern Business Applications. Maan Hussain briefed the audience on the Tamkeen support schemes available for enterprises, especially to adopt the cloud based applications.

Ravi Jayasundera commented: “ERP systems have become the cornerstone of modern organisations, supporting the strategic and operational processes that are essential to running a business. A robust ERP can enable an organisations address the requirements of upcoming VAT and other similar requirements.” He added that “Concepts such as Robotic Process Automation and blockchain are being incorporated to ERP systems. Further cloud computing is changing how ERP systems are utilised within organisations, enabling ERPs to be adopted by more organisations with minimum capital expenditure.”

The meeting concluded with a panel discussion and interactive Q&A session, where the questions by the audience were answered by the presenters.
