Batelco will be implementing new registration rules when it comes to applying for postpaid and prepaid mobile services starting from July 12.
This decision came after the Bahrain Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) introduced new regulations that govern the registration of sim-card enabled devices. The new regulation entails that people applying for the service have to provide a valid ID and scan their fingerprint. Additionally, the TRA no introduced a limit to the number of prepaid lines that can be registered under one ID.
According to a statement made by Batelco, they’re in the process of notifying all of their commercial and government customers about the new registration details. Customers can also go on batelco.com or call 17881144 or 196 for support.
