Bahraini Initiative Gained Recognition

The Sajaya Young Ladies of Sharjah delegates took part in the eighth edition of the “Youth City 2030“, held in Manama, Bahrain.

During the event, organized by Bahrain’s Ministry of Youth and Sports, the young people had the chance to participate in some of the 97 training programs and workshops in different fields of knowledge – media, leadership development, science, technology, and more.

The delegation, led by Maryam Al Shehhi, Head of Internal Relations Committee and Maryam Al Shamlan, Head of Public Relations Committee, consisted of six girls.

According to Sheikha Aisha Khalid Al Qasimi, Director of Sajaya, the initiative would help the young girls improve their skills and excel in their future careers:

These specialized programs are an excellent way to broaden horizons and teach young people not just new facts, but a new way of critical thinking. That is very much a life-skills event, and the training they experience here is an invaluable opportunity for our young ladies to extend their creative thinking and hone skills in fields which perhaps they may not have considered before.

Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Wife of H.H. The Ruler of Sharjah, and Chairperson of the Rubu’ Qarn Foundation commented that they were aiming to create the next generation of young, courageous women with extraordinary skills.
