Did you know that Bahrain Development Bank (BDB) has a SME Fund I where it supports and finances small and medium size enterprises in Bahrain?

The SME Fund I is completely Shari’ah-compliant where it’s based on the Collective Investment Undertakings Module found in Volum 7 of the CBB Rulebook.

The fund is only open to institutional and high net worth investors only, and it’s targeted towards sectors of healthcare, education, infrastructure, renewable energy, tourism, manufacturing, and all those projects that contribute to creating job opportunities for Bahrainis on short-term holdings in the capital.

BDB has also recently just partnered up with Tamkeen‘s program Tamweel+ to finance medium and large enterprises, which you can read more about here.
