Parenthood is a difficult skill to master. Successfully raising your children with the desirable set of skills, personality and behaviors comes after thousands of trials and errors and hundreds of hours of trying to figure out what goes in the little mind of the person in front of you. In this article, we will be talking about tips to raise entrepreneurs that can some day change their surroundings or even the world.
Start with Why!
Always teach your kid to wonder about why things are the way they are, disassembling gadgets, electronics and products to understand how they actually work and then answering questions on why they were built that way. Start by challenging your kid with mental puzzles to re-think on how to better design a specific product and appreciate the little details put into a specific product. Like examining the curves in a car handle or how a fast food restaurant manages their ordering system. Doing that will enable them to develop a very strong habit of identifying root cases effectively and solve more complex problems.

Teach them how to handle cash
Try to explain the economies of cash and how to manage finances at a very small age. Doing this will ensure that they can be more financially aware and save your own money along the way. If you kids are into mobile games, try going though the process of buying them a small gift card, then as them to get the games they want with budget you already set for the period. This will make them wise consumers and may lead them to even check out reviews of games and app they want before committing and buying them. You may also have them handle a bill in a restaurant or a budget for a play day outside.
Time awareness
Setting specific time tables for activities and tasks can develop a child sense of time management. Try to allocate specific time for play, study and free time for your kid. The allocation process should start early to improve their planning abilities. Get them a funky watch so they can know what time it is and what they should be doing at this specific time. And always reward them for effective time management.

Marketing their ideas
Lets say your son wants to buy a new toy. Before making a decision, ask him to go and read about it and convince you that this will be a good decision to make. Let him develop his communication and research skills to pitch his own idea to persuade you to grab your wallet and pay. The pitch may not be perfect, but having kids work their communication skills at an early age helps in shaping the little negotiator inside them.
Nurture their passions
Chances are, your kids may hate whatever business you are running. But don’t panic when you realize that your daughter hates cooking while you cook for a living. Look around for things they enjoy and love, then develop their skills around it. Just don’t push your own interests into their tiny souls forcefully. Observe their interests and passions and look for ways to develop them no matter how silly they may seem to you. Yes, your daughter may tell you that she wants to be a firefighter! But maybe she’s interested in helping people instead of extinguishing flammable buildings.
