Zain Bahrain renews its partnership with Beban TV show to support Bahraini entrepreneurs

Press Release.

Beban, Bahrain’s first entrepreneurship-themed reality show produced by Hope Ventures, the investment arm of Hope Fund, announces Zain Bahrain as one of its Bronze Sponsors for its highly anticipated second season airing at the end of this current year.

The show aims to shed light on entrepreneurship success stories and facilitate co-investment opportunities for high-potential businesses alongside the private sector. Season 1 resulted in a commitment of 5 deals worth over USD 1,000,000 in total and USD 120,000 worth of advance orders. Season 2 will be bigger, louder, and much more exciting as it has expanded to include entrepreneurs and business opportunities from the United Arab Emirates.

Zain Bahrain plays a prominent role in supporting startups and small and medium enterprises in the Kingdom of Bahrain through various initiatives, including the first season of the Beban, for which it was also a strategic partner. After the show’s success in shedding light on promising Bahraini entrepreneurs, Zain aims to continue its tremendous support for Bahraini youth in the technology sector through Beban 2.

Commenting on the occasion, Fajer Al Pachachi, General Manager of Hope Ventures, said: “We are pleased to renew our partnership with Zain Bahrain for season 2 of Beban after the successful collaboration we had in season 1. With Zain being one of the most impactful technology enablers in the Kingdom of Bahrain, we have no doubt that this partnership will empower Beban’s entrepreneurs and help accelerate their scalability.”

On his part, Sh. Abdulla bin Khalid Al Khalifa, Director of Corporate Communications and Investor Relations at Zain Bahrain, said: “At Zain, we continue to support Bahraini youth in innovative and modern ways through community partnerships; and Beban is a great platform in promoting and helping youth entrepreneurs in successfully achieving their future goals.  We are pleased to renew our support for Beban for the second consecutive season. We look forward to providing our extensive experience to the companies participating in the show, especially those in the technology sector.”

Hope Ventures thanks His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Affairs and Youth Affairs, for His guidance and unwavering support that led to the creation and development of Beban, which contributes to the shaping of a robust, regional investment ecosystem.
