Zain Bahrain pays a visit to the elderly at UCO Parents Care Centre

In line with its commitment to giving back to the community, employees from Zain Bahrain, a leading telecommunications provider in the Kingdom, dedicated their time to visit the elderly at UCO Parents Care Centre.

Eight Zain Bahrain employees, accompanied by five participants form the company’s Women in Tech programme, visited the Centre to spend time with the residents. They arranged breakfast and spent time chatting with them, getting to know each individual and learning more about the UCO Parents Care Centre, its history, and the role it plays in the community.

Abdulla bin Khaled Al-Khalifa, Zain Bahrain Director of Communications & Investor Relations, said: “We strongly believe in giving back to the community in any way we can. The elderly are an important part of our society and deserve our respect and time, which is why we are more than happy to dedicate ourselves to socialising with them and brightening their day.”

Founded in 1944, the UCO Parents Care Centre provides a safe place for elderly people, whether they attend for the day or as residents. It provides health, social, and living care for residents, and seeks to strengthen the relationship between elderly people and their family members, as well as deepening social interaction with their surroundings.
