Zain Bahrain, a leading telecommunications provider in the Kingdom, hosted a masterclass workshop in its offices, focusing on “Digital Transformation” in the Kingdom of Bahrain and the region.

The two-hour training workshop highlighted how Zain Bahrain are adopting and fostering a culture of digital innovation, and why major business enterprises are required to revolutionize and enhance their digital engagement with end users and customers in order to survive and maintain their leadership.

The workshop was led by Riccardo Di Blasio, a veteran with over 25 years of experience in the hi-tech sector. Di Blasio served leadership roles international tech companies across the between Middle-East, Latin America, Europe, and North America, and is a professional investor in several Bay Area start-ups and cooperates. He is also involved in numerous initiatives in association with NASA, fostering break-through technology startups into space programs.

During the workshop opening speech, Mr. Mohammed Abdulla Zainalabedin, General Manager of Zain Bahrain, said: “Digital transformation streamlines operations and offers endless opportunities for both business growth and customer satisfaction, and with that growing trend, Zain Bahrain is keen on further adopting this vital technology as a key strategic approach to ensure we are catering to our clients’ needs, and the wider community.”

Zain fully understands the fundamental necessity of embracing digital transformation to deliver an exceptional customer experience. Earlier last month, Zain launched zBot, an all-new interactive digital channel for smart customer service, making Zain Bahrain the first telecoms operator to launch this innovative solution in the Kingdom.

“The zBot digital channel reflects our ongoing commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences. Zain Bahrain continues to invest in digital transformation in order to offer customers a more simplified, accessible, personalized and immediate response and experiences,” Zainalabedin added.

According to Ericsson’s principles for digital transformation, businesses and enterprises with a unique and strong digital mark leads to better economic profits, and companies with strong brands and market positions have 56% better stock performance. Studies show that the end of 2019, digital transformation spending will reach $1.7 trillion worldwide, a 42% from 2017.

The recent Global Connectivity Index revealed that Bahrain is significantly progressing in the realms of five technology enablers including broadband, data centers, cloud, big data and Internet of Things. With that in mind, Zain Bahrain is now driving and enhancing its digital customer experience, launching new digital services and building digital ecosystems with other industries to support the Kingdom of Bahrain’s Economic 2030 Vision.
