YoStartups, which provides early-stage startups with support to build and launch their startups has joined forces with CH9 to conduct for My Startup Bootcamps in Bahrain this year. The program is supported by Tamkeen as Strategic Partner and Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism, Bahrain Economic Development Board and StartUp Bahrain as Program Partners.
The second batch of the three-day bootcamp kicked off on April 28th at CH9, Amwaj, with more than 120 applications, who were shortlisted to 20+ participants from 18 startups. The third batch had participants from all over the world including twelve Bahrainis, and six international startups from Hong Kong, India, Slovenia, Saudi Arabia and Egypt. This provided an excellent opportunity for the participants to interact, learn and share their different experiences with one another.
This batch included startups from various fields including e-Commerce, FinTech, Medtech, Edtech and alternative energy domain. The bootcamp was based on the concept of the “Lean Startup” where it taught the participants how to refine their concepts, solidify their startup ideas and business, models, create an entrepreneurial mindset, and enhance their business viability through hands-on workshops.
Jappreet Sethi, CEO of YoStartups commented on the bootcamp saying: “Using our step by step approach, early-stage startups can test the hypothesis and avoid scaling up premature ideas. Premature scaling is one of the biggest reason for startup failure.”
