Founded by Her Excellency Sheikha Ohoud Salem Al Ali Al Sabah in collaboration with Ms. Riham Al Ayyar, VO, the first Kuwait-based integrated youth platform for incubating young talents, received the Arab Media Forum’s Impact Award for its launching advertisement entitled ‘Wejodkoom Haya’ (your presence is our life, i.e. your talents is our nation’s future). The famous socially driven advertisement was marked by the appearance of Her Excellency Sheikha Ohoud Al Sabah affirming Kuwaiti youth that their talents are Kuwait’s future.
The 9th Arab Media Forum was held on 12 December 2021 and it awarded various institutions, corporations, and prominent personalities who have contributed to Kuwait’s creative productions through media content including advertisements. The forum assessed more than 240 advertisements and VO Kuwait was one of the winners for its socially driven advertisement that aimed to spark hope and success in Kuwaiti youth.
“We consider this award as one of the many great achievements that VO Kuwait has accomplished this year. In less than one year, we managed to impact many Kuwaiti youth and are currently taking their talents to the next level. This award goes to the fully fledged team of VO Kuwait that was dedicated from the very beginning to support, empower, and unleash Kuwaiti talents,” stated Mr. Ahmed Suweilem, Public Relations Director of VO Kuwait.
In his statement, he explained that like all VO’s produced media content, the winning advertisement aimed to generate a message of hope to Kuwait’s young talents. “Kuwaiti talents needed to be acknowledged, heard, and unleashed. Wejodkoom Haya marks the very start of VO Kuwait in providing a platform that offers Kuwaiti youth with all the pillars of success to nurture their talents. Our impact on Kuwaiti youth comes as part of our greater mission, which is to position Kuwait globally and diversify Kuwait’s economy. Through this award, we can say that this was the start,” stated Mr. Suwailem.
Founded in July 2020, VO nurtures and supports Kuwaiti talents and inspiring initiatives in various fields including entrepreneurship. The platform launched its all-inclusive creative hub in May 2021 to empower and express their ideas, and is currently establishing an academic program for Kuwaiti youth and a ‘smart’ app to nurture their talents while promoting their creative productions on a seamless, high-tech and efficient digital platform.
