UAE Startup Gets $270,000 Funding From the Box

Mobile application and web-based solution “Yalla Pickup” has received a funding of AED1 million from its strategic partner ‘The Box‘ which is a provider of self-storage and transportation of goods services in the UAE.

Yalla Pickup allows you to order pickup trucks to move large items from one place to another. The online service is becoming more and more popular now that customers want to avoid waiting time and the whole effort of actively searching for a vehicle that can transfer their furniture.

Yalla Pickup has also been unveiled as one of the 10 successful startups in Sheraa’s accelerator program. Najla Al-Midfa, General Manager at Sheraa said: “We are proud to see Yalla Pickup’s rapid rise and are confident that this startup will emerge as one of the leading innovators in UAE’s shared economy space. Sheraa’s accelerator brought to the fore some of the brightest ideas from business owners who displayed incredible promise, and Yalla Pickup’s latest funding is a mark of investor confidence. We at Sheraa will continue to support the business and provide it an empowering platform to grow, just as it was a solid foundation during its launch phase.”
