The Youth Pioneer Society is Getting Ready for the Third and Final Level of “Chance 2016”

On Monday 4th of April, the Youth Pioneer Society will commence the third and final level of its entrepreneurship development program “Chance 2016”, following the successful 11 workshops that the program has conducted since its commencement last February.

17 participants have been qualified to the third level after they successfully completed the previous levels of the program. These participants will compete for the program’s award by presenting the best business plan for their business ideas and projects.

The second level of the program commenced on 2nd March with an opening keynote speech by Sh. Hisham bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Deputy General Manager – Non-Financial Services Division in Bahrain Development Bank. It was followed by a wide range of workshops and activities that introduced the participants to various entities that the supports the entrepreneurship ecosystem in Bahrain. These workshops were conducted by representatives from the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism, Tamkeen, and Bahrain Development Bank. The second level included also workshops on the topics of marketing, financial management, business branding, marketing strategies, and business technologies, and were delivered by expert trainers in the field. This level concluded on 29th March with a motivational session with Cameron Kashani, Entrepreneur and Godmother of Silicon Valley in Los Angeles, USA.

The program director, Amira Mahmood, said: “17 participants will qualify to the third and final level, which will include a field trip to various local Bahraini manufacturers, then meeting various Bahraini entrepreneurs to learn from their business success stories, followed by group and individual coaching sessions with group of professional trainers and seasoned mentors. This level concludes with the participants’ preparation of a comprehensive business plan that will be evaluated by a panel consisted of expert jury in the field of entrepreneurship.

‘Chance 2016’ program continues its strategic partnership with Tamkeen, Bahrain Development Bank, Zain Bahrain, and Capital Knowledge in addition to its partnership with the Grant Program by the US Embassy in Bahrain. The program also has various media partnerships with Al Watan Newspaper, Gulf Daily News, Bahrain This Week, Mievento Creative Hub, Startup Bahrain, and Shabaka TV.
