Zain Racing, Zain Bahrain’s in-house team’s first Bahraini and female member May AlHaji, completes the 2018 Boston Marathon that took place on 16 April. To qualify for the 122nd Boston Marathon, runners must meet the standards set by a fully certified marathon in correspondence with age and gender.
Zain Bahrain is proud to have May AlHaji as the first Bahraini female and first female member of Zain Racing, and have been supporting AlHaji with other major competitions and triathlon events, such as her participation at the Ironman 70.3 Bahrain – Middle East Championship in 2015. AlHaji first took up running in 2012, and participated in her first full marathon in January 2014.
Zain Bahrain have been targeting and supporting ambitious women who strive to pursue success, and have been focusing on one of the key drivers of women’s empowerment in the kingdom of Bahrain. Zain Racing is Zain Bahrain’s in-house team for all types of racing events, including automotive sports, running, cycling and triathlons.
