Tamkeen In Partnership With Bahrain Development Bank Organises ‘Intelaaq’ Innovation Workshop For Bahraini Youth

In an effort to connect students with local businesses and prepare them for entering the labour market, Intelaaq, Tamkeen’s student business consultancy programme, organised a workshop entitled “Innovation” in partnership with the Bahrain Development Bank.

The workshop welcomed Intelaaq current students and alumni who consisted of a selection of Bahrain’s Business, Media, Graphic Design, and Communication recent Bahraini graduates and undergraduates, from different local and international universities.

The main purpose of the workshop is to help students to become innovative in the application of information, imagination and initiative in deriving greater or different values from resources, including all processes by which new ideas are generated and converted into useful products.

The audience engaged with business experts, where the session began with basic discussions of business aspects, and was further expanded by going into more details regarding the implementation of creative solutions and ideas whilst also showcasing examples of innovative business ideas.

Tamkeen’s Student Business Consultancy programme, “Intelaaq”, aims to build bridges between the academic knowledge of students and the requirements of businesses in Bahrain by equipping students with work-ready competencies and specialised knowledge.

“Intelaaq”, a 4-month students’ business consultancy programme, also aims at transforming students’ knowledge into practical application. The Programme’s eligibility requires that students are either in their third or fourth-year of undergraduate studies and it is open for recent university graduates.

Applications are open for the second batch of Intelaaq student consultants; all interested students and fresh graduates are invited to submit their applications to Intelaaq@tamkeen.bh by the 23rd of February 2016.

After submitting the application, if the candidates meet the Programme’s requirements, they will be part of one-on-one interviews for further screening to measure their readiness and suitability for the Programme.
