Bahrain Labour Fund Tamkeen just announced its strategic partnership for the Information and Communication Technology Conference “MEET ICT” and the Bahrain International Technology Exhibition “BITEX”, which will be organized by BTECH and Worksmart, and will be held on February 13-15 under the patronage of Kamal bin Ahmed Mohammed, the Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications.
This partnership includes the organization of special events between Tamkeen and private IT institutions and companies during the MEET ICT conference, with the aim of introducing these companies’ services, exploring how to enhance the effectiveness of its support. Tamkeen will also be participating in the conference sessions, in addition to providing support to companies participating in BITEX.
Commenting on the signed partnership, Dr. Ebrahim Mohammed Janahi, Chief Executive of Tamkeen, said that Tamkeen is committed to supporting private sector institutions, encouraging them to expand in order to further stimulate the national economy. “Through its strategy for the next three years, Tamkeen is proceeding to activating the support programmes provided to individuals and the private sector within the framework of implementing Bahrain Vision 2030,” he said on the sideline of the partnership agreement signing ceremony,” he said.
He also mentioned that Tamkeen’s continuous support for companies in Bahrain comes as part of their mission to strengthen the ICT sector. “This plays a vital role in raising the capacity of private sector institutions to develop their productivity and competitiveness,” he added.
