The UAE-based Etisalat Digital and Mobile Doctors 24-7, a leading health management provider, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to work together to foster the medical care in the region. The partnership was part of the Dubai Future Accelerators Program.

Etisalat Digital would develop digital solutions for Mobile Doctors 24-7. The innovative service would guarantee immediate remote access to medical care to everyone at any time, without prior notification. The two companies would work together to decrease the waiting time in the emergency rooms, to reduce the average length of hospital stay, and to minimize the hospital readmissions.

The DFA program is the world’s biggest government supported accelerator. It brings together rising startups and Dubai authorities to allow innovators build, test, and implement their solutions. Mobile Doctors 24-7 was among the 35 companies shortlisted from more than 1000 applications from all around the world in the second DFA cohort.

Raouf Khalil, the founder, and CEO of Mobile Doctors 24-7 was convinced that the partnership with Etisalat Digital would lead to a change in the healthcare system. According to Khalil, the doctors on the platform would tell patients the truth about what they need, not just what they can afford:
