Seedstars World Coming to Bahrain

Seedstars World, the Switzerland-based startup competition focused on emerging markets is coming to Bahrain for the third time.
The event takes place on September 9, under the patronage of the Minister of Industry, Commerce, and Tourism, Zayed Bin Rashed Alzayani, and the local host CH9.

Seedstars World travels through more than 80 countries to identify the most promising young entrepreneurs from emerging markets. It gives them a chance to expand their network with investors and mentors, and to win up to USD 1 million. The previous editions of the event managed to raise USD 61 million collectively. The initiatives secured 1,000 work places worldwide.

The eligible participants should be young companies, established less than two years ago. In addition to that, they should have raised no more than USD 500,000 in funding. Their products need to be viable and preferably with existing traction. Last but not at least, the startup’s regional and global scalability matters as well.

The founder and managing director of CH9, Mohamed Altawash, commented that the number of talented entrepreneurs in the area was phenomenal. CH9 would do its best to help them gain popularity and funding, concluded Altawash.
