Sharjah is gearing up for the Sharjah Entrepreneurship Festival that is slated to be held on November 21-22 at the premises of the Sharjah Golf and Shooting Club. The event brings together under one roof, some of the most prominent representatives of the regional startup community to celebrate entrepreneurship, and inspires young people to follow their steps.
The central theme of the festival will be creative economies, social impact, and social entrepreneurship. More than 60 startups will participate in the event to showcase their work, meet fellow like-minded entrepreneurs, and compete for a place in the mentorship program. They will get exposure to over 1,000 influencers, venture capitalists, and investors. The most promising startups will win a free branded booth, two regular tickets, and access to the ”Meet Your Mentor” program. Some of them will also be able to join the Pitch competition which offers up to US$ 40,000 in cash prize.
Among the prominent speakers taking part in the event will be the Emirati tycoon and founder of Emaar Properties Mohamed Alabbar, Arif Naqvi, the long-term CEO of the Abraaj Group, Fadi Ghandour, the Chairman of Wamda Group, the digital brand expert Alex Hunter, and many such eminent ones. They will share their valuable experience and will answer all your questions during the panel discussions.
Unlike many similar events, the Sharjah Entrepreneurship Festival will go beyond the workshops, training sessions, and panel discussions. The organizers prepare a bunch of fun activities to help young entrepreneurs relax and entertain. For example, at the Green Room, the local musicians will get a chance to perform and share their work with the forum guests. Furthermore, the Dubai-based TruckersDXB will take care of the catering, offering home-grown food and delicious specialties. In addition to that, there will be a yoga and relaxation zone, organized by Rise Fitness Boutique where the entrepreneurs can take a breath and enjoy some quality time.
At the end of the event, there will be an official ceremony for The Seffy Awards for entrepreneurship, spread over nine categories.
