Saudi SMEs Gain State Support

Ghassan bin Ahmed Al-Sulaiman, governor of the General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises (GASME) and the Integrated Development Center (IDC), represented by Saad bin Mohammed Mariq, an adviser to the Makkah governor, signed an agreement to promote the development of small and medium-size enterprises in Makkah province. The Saudi Gov. Prince Khaled Al-Faisal, the adviser to King Salman and Makkah also witnessed the signing ceremony.

The agreement aims to strengthen the cooperation and promote capital investment options for small and medium-sized enterprises. In addition to that, it would also foster the local perfume industry, and stimulate entrepreneurship in the Makkah area. It would also work hard to increase the role of women in business and encourage the use of local resources for services and products.

A dedicated committee would monitor the development of the perfumery industry so that it could contribute positively to the GDP and open work vacancies.
