Don’t look any further, your health and wealth journey starts right here, right now, with Daleel!
Well, besides it being the Arabic word for guide, Daleel is a Bahraini-based financial marketplace focused on helping you save time, and make better choices to grow your wealth. Their interactive platform allows you to search, compare and find the right financial products!
We get it, the financial world looks complicated and sounds stressful, but Daleel, aptly named, is on a mission to make stepping into it as easy and accessible as possible, to empower people in building and leading a healthy financial portfolio. The best part, you ask? Oh well, it’s no big deal but you’re rewarded as you expand your financial horizon and work towards your financial goals. Literally.
In the long run, Daleel intends to grow and cater their services to the entire MENAP region.
Founded in Bahrain during January 2022, Daleel is the brainchild of three tech enthusiasts: Prashant Shrivastava, Dania Alshowaikh, and Ridaa Shah, a platform born to simplify the world of finance for all users.
“Over the years, we’ve struggled with finding the right financial products for ourselves. We found the whole process to be long, tedious and overwhelming. Until one day we had enough and decided to do something about it,” shared Daleel’s Co-Founder, Prashant Shrivastava (PK). “Daleel was founded because we’re committed to improving financial wellbeing in the MENAP region and helping customers lead more financially knowledgeable lives.”
But what makes the three technophiles so passionate about finance?
Co-Founder, Ridaa Shah, explained: “Financial wellness is critical to our overall health. When people talk about health and wellness, they talk about the importance of exercise, good food and a good routine– but not what’s in your bank account. In a region where financial stress looms large, we feel like it is our responsibility to step up and help people take charge of their finances in a better way.”
That being said, you might be wondering now if Daleel is truly as good as it sounds and we’re here to let you in on a secret: it is.
The app allows users to do many things, some of which are:
- Search, compare and find the best financial product for yourself. Daleel offers both banking products (Credit Cards, Personal Loans, Car Loans, Saving Accounts, Deposit Accounts) and FinTech products (Bitcoin and Ethereum).
- Learn directly from Daleel’s financial experts without any middlemen.
- Earn points on the app by accomplishing small tasks that benefit your physical and financial health with:
- Walking! Every five thousand steps per day lets the user gain 10 points.
- Taking quizzes to improve their financial knowledge.
- Inviting friends in on the fun. The more invitations you send out, the more points you get. And you can redeem these points for offers with Daleel’s financial partners and their health and wellness partners!
According to a research Daleel conducted in the region, 67.9% of their respondents rated their financial understanding on the lower end while 51.4% weren’t so sure with the last financial product they applied for. As a result, altering those statistics and enabling people in the MENAP region to confidently make financial decisions, moved Daleel’s team into a course of action with determination. The choice might have been easy, but the journey wasn’t.
Commenting on what their process looked like, Dania Alshowaikh, Co-Founder, said: “In the last few months, we have been tirelessly working to build a multi-sided financial marketplace that would serve both sides of the ecosystem and brings together both traditional banking and new FinTech products. We truly believe that an app like Daleel could significantly help customers improve their financial wellbeing, as well as provide a platform for our financial partners to connect with customers and understand their needs on a deeper level.”
Just because Daleel was founded earlier this year doesn’t mean they haven’t already achieved something remarkable: the platform recently won first place in the third cohort of Standard Chartered Women in Tech Program. The event was under the patronage of the Central Bank of Bahrain, Supreme Council for Women and Bahrain Fintech Bay. The app has also been launched and made available to the public and their brand ambassador program is finally live. If you’re interested to learn more about the program, don’t hesitate to visit their website.
The way to an easier financial lifestyle is finally here, so download Daleel on Apple store or Google Play, and make sure to keep an eye out on their social media accounts, whether it’s Instagram, LinkedIn or Twitter, to stay up to date with their latest announcements!
