Khaleeji Commercial Bank and the BIBF announce their upcoming event

Under the patronage of the Bahrain Economic Development Board (EDB), Khaleeji Commercial Bank (KHCB) and the BIBF announce their strategic partnership to launch the Economic Diversification Forum which will be held for two days on 19th and 20th of November.

The aim of this Forum is to address the topic of economic diversification and highlight its importance for Bahrain’s national economy. The forum’s theme is “Working together for a sustainable future” where both international and local experts will deliver insightful sessions and participate in stimulating panel discussions focusing on the importance of adapting to new economic conditions and other various factors that play a role in ensuring long-term stability for all stakeholders in the Kingdom.

The EDB’s Chief Executive, H.E. Khalid Al-Rumaihi said: “Our future prosperity depends upon our ability to continue to diversify our economy – and in order to do that we need to be able to create a supportive business environment in which the private sector can thrive. Recent government initiatives and policy reforms are significantly improving the operating environment here in the Kingdom and enhancing the support already available to our flourishing startup sector. I look forward to the event and to hearing directly from companies and entrepreneurs about what more we can do to meet their needs going forward. We appreciate the efforts of KHCB and the BIBF in this regard, which emphasizes the importance of the private sector’s role in contributing towards national initiatives.”

This year’s Forum will begin with a high-level panel discussion how to tackle the topic of diversification for Bahrain’s economy. The panel will feature experts from various sectors including financial services, education, oil and gas, industry, tourism, and technology.

KHCB’s Chairman, Dr. Ahmed AlMutawa mentioned that this forum highlights the importance of the private and public sector working collaboratively to ensure that these awareness and educational initiatives continue to benefit Bahrain. “We are working together through the Economic Diversification Forum to highlight the importance of this topic through the various panel discussions and the expert sessions. In order to guarantee participant experience is as effective as possible, we aim to cover the most pertinent topics to expand widen the horizons of understanding the concept of diversification,” he said.

There’s also going to be some workshops that are going to cover various topics about Bahrain’s economy, giving participants a more comprehensive overview of the economic prospects and the current threats to the financial and economic stability.

The BIBF’s Director, Dr. Ahmed AbdulHameed AlShaikh added: “Amidst a modern economic market structure comes the exciting potential for growth and revolution that can further elevate business prospects and expand human potential.
