Hope Ventures launches ‘Wujha’, an entrepreneurship training program

Press Release.

Hope Ventures, the investment arm of Hope Fund, launched its third program of the year tailored specifically for online businesses that have taken the initial steps to launch and establish their businesses on social media channels. Registration for ‘Wujha’ is currently underway, closing on October 24th, with the training bootcamp scheduled to begin in November of this year.

‘Wujha’, meaning destination, symbolizes the program’s aim to guide Bahraini online founders through their entrepreneurial journey to take their businesses to the next level and commercialize their concepts. This 3-week program targets the large segment of entrepreneurs within the Kingdom operating online and social media-based businesses that offer services and products through digital and social networking platforms like Instagram.

The bootcamp will provide participants with the knowledge, resources and tools required to enhance their business models and pave a roadmap for commercialising their businesses to allow them to raise equity investment to grow their ventures. Upon completion of the bootcamp, Wujha will provide participants with the opportunity to pitch their ideas to Hope and the private sector for potential equity investment opportunities.

Commenting on the program, H.E. Minister of Youth and Sport Affairs, Chairman of Hope Fund, Mr. Aymen bin Tawfeeq Almoayed, said: “As our third initiative this year, Wujha is designed to enhance the Kingdom’s booming online commercial scene. Through this bootcamp, we aim to enable Bahraini entrepreneurs with existing market traction to commercialise their online concepts into scalable business opportunities and take their existing operations to the next level. Our role is to support the entrepreneurship sector within the Kingdom by engaging our online entrepreneurs and enabling them to become active participants in the national economy.”

Fajer Al Pachachi, General Manager of Hope Ventures, added: “As the world moves towards the adoption of digital tools to expand its reach, it is our goal to ensure that Bahraini entrepreneurs are able to capitalize on these opportunities and become part of the global market.
