Hope Ventures, the investment arm of Hope Fund, announces the successful completion of a BHD 1.5 million capital increase round which included 30 investors from the private sector. The funds raised will go towards investment in promising Bahraini businesses with the aim of accelerating their growth and expansion to international markets.
The round comes in line with Hope’s mission to engage the private sector and strategically co-invest alongside its investors in Bahraini businesses to catalyze their growth. Hope Ventures’ 30 investors comprise of experienced business leaders and industry experts who will contribute to Hope’s mission of enabling local businesses to scale regionally and internationally.
Commenting on the occasion, H.E. Aymen bin Tawfiq Almoayed, Minister of Youth and Sports Affairs and Chairman of Hope Fund, said: “It is part of Hope’s mission to facilitate opportunities for merited youth and their promising businesses because we believe that the bet on youth is guaranteed. The private sector plays a pivotal role in the success of this mission, as it provides the capital, mentorship, and wide network that Bahraini businesses require to succeed.”
