Here’s what the TradeQuest students are up to

The school teams that are participating in the TradeQuest program just presented their presentations of the first phase of the program at Bahrain Bourse’s auditorium.

During the presentations, the teams presented their financial performance in both Bahrain Bourse and New York Stock Exchange (NYSE). In addition, the teams outlined the main challenges they have faced, their risk management techniques, and the performance of the companies in their portfolio. Towards the end of each of the three trading periods of the TradeQuest programme, the schools are required to present their strategy, objectives, and performance to the Investment Review Committee

The program has been ongoing for 19 years and has been highly supported and encouraged by various entities. Bahrain Bourse is particularly thankful to the following institutions who have sponsored TradeQuest this year in the interest of enhancing investment awareness among students: Platinum sponsors include: Bank ABC, Bahrain Economic Development Board, Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company (Mumtalakat), National Bank of Bahrain, and the Labour Fund (Tamkeen). Gold Sponsors include: Ahli United Bank, SICO and United Gulf Bank. Silver Sponsors include: BBK, Gulf International Bank (GIB), Investcorp, Khaleeji Commercial Bank, and Al Salam Bank Bahrain.

TradeQuest is a simulated business-education partnership program that focuses on investment trading in world financial markets, which operated for the first time in the Kingdom of Bahrain in 1997 in cooperation with financial institutions and educational parties.
