His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Talal Al Saud, Chairman of Arab Gulf Program for Development (AGFUND), visited Bahrain Development of Small and Medium Enterprises’ Society (BDSMEs), at its headquarters in the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The objective of the visit is to review the programs and operations of business incubators under the Society’s supervision, as well as to learn about the experiences of young entrepreneurs and the mechanism for launching SMEs.
“This visit exemplifies the strength of Bahrain-Saudi ties, and we applaud His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Talal Al Saud’s Keenness for supporting the projects of Bahraini and Gulf youth, particularly entrepreneurs and SMEs owners, and recognizing their efforts, actions, and creativity. We also appreciate the great role played by “AGFUND” program in human development at the Gulf, regional, and international levels.” According to the board Chairman of Bahrain Small and Medium Enterprises Development Society MP Mr. Ahmed Sabah Al Saloom.
On his part, a member of the Society board and Head of the Committee for the Development of Micro Enterprises Mr. Mohammed Al Musawi pointed out that His Royal Highness’ visit had a huge influence on the incubator’s entrepreneurs, giving them a significant morale boost. He lauded His Highness the Prince’s passion for helping young entrepreneurs grow their firms so that they may participate fully in the commercial market and the Gulf economic community
Ms. Yasmine Jamal, Society’s board member and Head of Public Relations and Events, hailed His Royal Highness’s visit to the Society, expressing her desire for the Society and “AGFUND” to collaborate more in the future.
The visit was attended by the Executive Director of AGFUND, Mr. Nasser Alkahtani, Professor Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al-Zakari, President of the Arab Open University, and Dr. Khalid Al Ghazzawi, CEO of Ebdaa Microfinance Company. They commended the Society’s and business incubators’ efforts, as well as the exceptional outputs achieved by the Institute of Entrepreneurship in the Bahrain Development of Small and Medium Enterprises’ Society.
