Find out how BTEA and Tamkeen are Working Together To Improve the Tourism Industry

The Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) and Tamkeen signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Tuesday, 11th of July 2017, to support the development of the Online Hotel Integration Project that’s recently launched by the BTEA.

The Online Hotel Integration Project aids the Kingdom’s vision of developing the tourism industry and encouraging the private sector’s investment in the country. The project links all the data related to the hotel industry under one system, which will be updated periodically with the latest figures and data.

As per the MoU, Tamkeen will be covering 50% of the total cost of the project through supporting the 3, 2 and 1 Star hotels, in addition to hotel apartments. Cheif Executive of Tamkeen, Dr. Ebrahim Mohammed Janahi, said: “We believe in the growing role of the tourism and hotel sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain, one of the key economic sectors in the Kingdom. We aim to support its growth and fully support its needs.”
