Egyptian startup Shieldfy just got funded by a VC in Kuwait

Egyptian startup Shieldfy raised an undisclosed amount in a pre-seed investment from Arzan, a VC in Kuwait.

The startup Shieldfy was launched in Alexandria back in 2016 by Eslam Salem Mahmoud, an Egyptian web developer, and security researcher, alongside his co-founder Mahmoud Shawareb, a security researcher who joined Eslam last year. What Shieldfy basically does is that it helps you build secure web applications, prevents hacking, and improves your code security.

Shieldfy follows a SaaS model and charges a subscription fee between $49 to $499 per month. The startup has clients in the US, Canada, Italy, and MENA.

With the new investment, Eslam, and Mahmoud are going to better enhance their product to fit the developers’ needs.
