Egypt-based Glamera raises $250k in funds

Glamera, a beauty booking service with more than 200 contracted providers in Egypt, has raised 250k in a round led by a Saudi angel investor. The beauty booking service app has covers all areas in beauty such as salons, clinics, spa, gym, and dental clinics.

Mohamad Hasan, CEO of Glamera, said, “This 250K USD Saudi investment came within the first round of business acceleration. This round is one stage of a clear and ongoing financing plan towards the achievement of Glamera vision of being the future of woman’s lifestyle. The vision is to direct women to beauty through easy, intelligent and interactive mobile application with wide geographical coverage.”

Glamera launched in July 2019, and has managed to achieve around 20,000 app downloads and over 1,000 bookings within the first month only. The Glamera team hopes to expand in Cairo and Alexandria over the next few weeks, while aiming to enter 6 more countries, including the GCC by 2020.
