E-commerce enabler Zeew raises fresh capital worth $170k

Egypt-based e-commerce enabler Zeew announced last week that it had raised $170,000 from Sanabil 500 MENA Seed Accelerator, a joint initiative by Sanabil Investments and 500 Startups. With the success of this new round, the net capital raised by the startup so far has shot up to $400,000.

For those unfamiliar with it, Zeew is a startup on the mission to help businesses of all sizes set up their online stores. It claims to have built a presence in more than 160 countries across the world and as of July 2021, the company has a clientele consisting of businesses representing several verticals including pharmaceutical, F&B, and last-mile delivery.

“There are over 1 million businesses on Shopify today without a delivery system, and with our automated platform we have created a full ecosystem for businesses, in few clicks, the business ecommerce store is created and connected to its native client ordering apps, vendor apps, drivers apps, dispatcher, accounting system and more,” said Mohamed Ghaith, founder of Zeew.

The startup now plans on using the newly acquired capital to expedite its global growth trajectory while acquiring new clients and targeting new verticals.
