BRHF 2017: THE FIRST RESTAURANT AND HOSPITALITY FORUM IN BAHRAIN BRINGS YOU EXCITING IDEAS FOR YOU TO MUNCH ON

Culinaire & Beyond hosted its first ever Restaurant and Hospitality Forum in the Kingdom of Bahrain at the Bahrain International Exhibition Centre on the 21st and 22nd of May under the patronage of Shaikh Khaled Bin Humood Al Khalifa, CEO of Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority.

Founded by Leena Al Mannai, Culinaire & Beyond is the Authorized Licensee of the Next Idea [International] LLC, a global hospitality and restaurant consulting a group based and registered in the USA. Their US based partners Robert Ancill, CEO of The Next Idea, Thelma Weaver, Senior Consultant of The Next Idea and Philip Gay, CEO of Triple Enterprise played an active part in the two day Forum in terms of sharing their experiences and key trends developing in both sectors.

BRHF 2017 forum intended to highlight the importance of expanding its current vision, industry reach and knowledge in the Restaurant and Hospitality sectors of Bahrain. Al Mannai believes that the forum acts as the catalyst for launching new business and scaling up small to medium sized businesses within these sectors on a local and global scale. In her efforts of understanding the perspective of investors, she brought in an esteemed speaker from Investrade, as it’s important to groom, train and link budding entrepreneurs who are determined in making a positive impact with their unique ideas.  

Leena Al Mannai, believes that the Forum should be a yearly occurrence and hopes that next year’s’ forum will be bigger than the first. Leena extends her appreciation and gratitude to all who supported the vision of BRHF 2017:

Furthermore, the purpose of sharing local success stories within the forum, such as Sawsan Baluch’s Mycafe was to understand what type of commitment and passion it takes to execute an idea. The forum also had a talk about adopting a healthier diet, by Shaikh Rashid Bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, General Manager of Peninsula farms. Additionally, in effort of encouraging young Bahraini entrepreneurs, BRHF 2017 has invited young excited Bahraini concept owners such as Dona Murad from Hopscotch, and Rob Nakfour from Grub Shack to share their entrepreneurial journey with the audience.

The BRHF 2017 is fortunate to have celebrity Michelin Star Exec. Chef Franceso Brocca, Developer of the Cavalli Group, Chris Tapirdea from Asia De Cuba, Andre Gerschel from Baker & Spice, Khalid Rabeea Hussain from the Ministry of Industry & Commerce, Jean-Paul Dantil General Manager of the Ritz Carlton and Yousef Al Khan from BTEA as part of the esteemed panel of speakers for the event.
