Beban commences its intensive bootcamp for Season 2

Press Release.

Beban, Bahrain’s first entrepreneurship-themed reality show produced by Hope Ventures, commenced the first phase of its intensive bootcamp in an event attended by H.E. Aymen bin Tawfiq Almoayed, Minister of Youth and Sports Affairs and Chairman of Hope Fund. The event was held at Brinc MENA and was attended by 100 high-caliber shortlisted entrepreneurs.

Hope recently appointed Brinc MENA to deliver the two-phased bootcamp. During phase one, entrepreneurs will receive specialized entrepreneurship training sessions that will support them in refining their business models, strengthening their growth plans, and preparing them to pitch to investors. The bootcamp is further in line with Hope’s mission to provide promising entrepreneurs with the opportunity to access investors and obtain the tools and resources necessary to grow their businesses internationally.

During the event, His Excellency Mr. Aymen bin Tawfiq Al-Moayed said, “We are always proud to echo the sayings of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, may God protect Him, that the Kingdom of Bahrain is rich in its youth, and that betting on the youth segment is a sure bet that contributes to the building of tomorrow.

Through His Majesty’s vision, significant efforts led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, may God protect him, focused on empowering our youth and investing in them; as they represent true wealth that shapes the future of our nation.”

He continued, “We always strive to implement both faith and hope following the steps of His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Affairs and Youth Affairs. Faith through believing in the present time and being proactive to achieve the development of the Kingdom. While hope is for the future, and to strive towards empowering the youth and boosting their confidence in their abilities.”

He further elaborated, “We are launching the second season of Beban soon. The show’s wide reception and popularity exceeded our geographical borders and skyrocketed the creativity of our youth in different areas of the region. Given the success it achieved and the noble goals it holds for the support of persistent and creative youth, the show was ranked as one of the most viewed shows on Shahid.”

He added, “We believe that Beban is a golden opportunity for young people to secure their investments and expand their companies on local, regional and international scales. To achieve this goal, the second season will be bigger, louder, and definitely more exciting. The recently kickstarted bootcamp will contribute to honing and instilling needed entrepreneurial skills and knowledge for young people to advance their businesses.”

By the end of phase one, 50 entrepreneurs will be shortlisted for the second phase of the bootcamp that will commence for 2 months starting from mid-July, where they will get further in-depth knowledge to prepare them to pitch for equity investment on TV and Shahid before a panel of top regional investors.
