Bahrain will showcase its cybersecurity capabilities at the upcoming SmartSec Cyber Security & Blockchain Conference in the kingdom.
The event will run from September 3 to 5 at Gulf Convention Centre Hotel under the patronage of Electricity and Water Affairs Minister Dr. Abdulhussain Mirza, Bahrain Technology Companies Association (BTECH) announced.
Ubaydli Ubaydli, chairman of BTECH said: “SmartSec Cyber Security & BlockChain Conference provides a platform that aims at highlighting the most important issues related to providing cybersecurity for infrastructure projects against cyber-attacks to the public and private sectors. This conference in compliance with the success of Bahrain significance as a center of Information technology in the Middle East.
“SmartSec provides attendees with a unique opportunity to get acquainted with the latest trends, innovation, and solutions featured by the international cybersecurity and blockchain community through workshops and discussion panels.”
He further noted that the conference aims to bring the best of the best international professionals in the field of Cybersecurity and Blockchain. The conference’s sessions will tackle topics related to Artificial Intelligence to automate real-time threat hunting, applying artificial intelligence & machine learning in preventing cyber-attacks, developing a cybersecurity ecosystem, cloud security and cryptocurrency challenge, and telecom service operators and cyber warfare.
The three-day event is jointly organized by Bahrain Technology Companies Society ‘BTECH’ and WorkSmart for event management.
CEO of WorkSmart Ahmed Al Hujairi noted that an exhibition will be held following the conference aimed at attracting blockchain and cybersecurity solutions corporations which will help them find new potential contracts and agreements to grow their businesses.
Al-Hujairi added that the exhibition will boost objectives of the conference is highlighting the importance of ensuring information security through the rational and safe use of the Internet and smartphones, and the exchange of knowledge and rich experiences.
It will raise awareness and the need to develop the information technology security sector, which is reflected in the services provided to individuals and institutions of society, as well as presenting the most important developments in cybersecurity and adopting international best practices in this field.
