Bahrain takes the gold at the World Jiu-Jitsu Championship with Ali Monfaradi

It looks like Bahrain is wrapping up 2021 on quite the high note, as its very own athlete, Ali Monfaradi, makes history yet again this year after his winning silver medal in the competitive Adults Black Belt category at the Abu Dhabi World Professional Jiu-Jitsu Championship 2021.

This time around, he went for the gold and literally won the Gold Medal at the Jiu Jitsu World Championship 2021.

It’s noteworthy to mention that Monfaradi’s historic achievement earlier this year has resulted in his official ranking to increase, making him the Number 1 ranked Jiu-Jitsu athlete in Asia, according to the UAEJJF’s annual list – a first ever feat for any Middle Eastern professional athlete. Taking the gold medal is certainly keeping him at the top of the top.

Commenting on this astounding win, Monfaradi has shared: “Dream. Accomplished. Winning the Gold Medal at the Jiu Jitsu World Championship is my dream come true. Thank you to our leadership, our country and our amazing people.”

Can’t say we’re too surprised, Ali’s always made us proud with his hard work, and we’re glad to see the entirety of Bahrain celebrating him and his incredible achievement; further establishing Bahrain as a country that’s filled with young staggering talent that’s capable of achieving greatness.
