Are you a Space Entrepreneur?

Dubai Tourism along with GITEX Future Stars has launched the first of its kind Dubai Tourism Startup Competition – Futurism. The idea is to revolutionize the travel and tourism sectors. The organizers encourage all innovative entrepreneurs from all around the world to take part in it.

Startups can submit applications for one of the two competition pillars – hospitality and visitor experience. A jury panel will evaluate the business plans and ideas to shortlist 30 candidates. They will get an exhibition space at the GITEX Technology Week in October. During the event, the young entrepreneurs will be able to present their solutions and pitch investors.

Three of the shortlisted participants will get access to Dubai Tourism experts and industry leaders to help them develop their ideas into a successful business. A total prize of USD 100,000 will be distributed between the six finalists as initial capital.

The initiative, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, is a part of the Emirate’s ambitions to become a global innovation hub during the next decade.
