Repzo, Amman-based startup just raised an undisclosed amount of seed funding from Jabbar Internet Group, Oasis Creative Industries, and two angel investors.
Repzo is the first Arabic enabled cloud mobile customer relationship management solution, launched by Hassan, Moutaz, and Ayman Atmeh, with the aim of making it easier for SMEs in the fast-moving consumer goods and pharmaceutical industries manage their teams and monitor their staffs’ activities in an automated manner.
Hassan Atmeh, Co-founder and CEO of Repzo commented on the investment saying: “We are thrilled to be associated with Jabbar Internet Group; a prolific innovator with a history of investing in success stories like Souq.com and Maktoob, and with other renown investors.”
According to Hassan, the funds will give Repzo a “terrific boost” as it will allow them to improve their IT infrastructure, and develop their marketing efforts and to also expand their operations.
Samih Toukan, Chairman of Jabbar Internet Group also commented on the investment stating the startup has the potential to redefine the way companies with field staff work, such as sales, marketing, or merchandising reps. “Repzo offers a unique solution that is affordable, time-saving, cost-saving and error-minimizing to manage such a field force,” Samih said.
Repzo app basically allows field staff to use their smartphones to input their geotagged activities, including purchase orders, and payments to data collection and analysis. With these features, managers are able to monitor their staff achievements and efficiency, assign tasks, and receive real-time updates from their smart devices – be it a smartphone, tablet or laptop. This in turn, completely eliminates the need for weekly update meetings.
