A new accelerator just launched in Bahrain and it’s giving $30k to more than 40 startups!

Flat6Labs, a newly launched accelerator program in Bahrain will be investing in more than 40 local and international startups and entrepreneurs over the next three years.

Flat6Labs was launched last Thursday at unbound Bahrain, in partnership with Tamkeen. The accelerator aims to select startups from the following fields: Financial Services and Payments, Education, ICT and Electronics, Mobile Apps and Games, B2B Infrastructure Services, Healthcare, Tourism, Real Estate Technologies and Hardware and Industrial Solutions.

According to Fla6Labs, the selected startups will receive $30k in cash seed funding, in addition to a 16-week mentorship-driven accelerator program.

Ramez El-Serafy, CEO of Flat6Labs commented on the launch saying: “We’re thrilled to launch Flat6Labs Bahrain as it marks our sixth chapter in our expansion within the MENA region. t is such an exciting opportunity to bring Flat6Labs’ proven accelerator program and expertise brought forward by the acceleration of more than 140 startups in over than 20 cycles across the MENA region since 2011.”

He adds that the new accelerator program will provide Bahrain’s startup scene with a steady flow of innovative, exciting and investment-ready startups with the active support of their partners at Tamkeen.

Dr. Ebrahim Mohammed Janahi, Chief Executive of Tamkeen talked about Tamkeen’s role in supporting the ecosystem in Bahrain saying: “At Tamkeen, we seek to keep pace with the dynamic changes in the economy, and design the most appropriate solutions in line with the opportunities and challenges in the labour market.”

“Flat6Labs aims to utilize its expansive regional network to attract innovative founders from Bahrain, the region and beyond to provide the Bahraini innovation economy and venture capital industry with a steady pipeline of high-impact entrepreneurs with well-developed concepts and a thorough business training,” Flat6Labs stated.
