Brinc MENA, the region’s premier Internet of Things (IoT) and Connected Hardware accelerator program, announces the call for applications for the fourth cohort of their accelerator program. An immersive and holistic three-month accelerator program, the program offers a customized curriculum, technical onsite training, an international startups perks package, access to a global network, and ongoing support to help get IoT startups to streamline their business models, technology, and go-to-market strategies. Startups get exposed to expertise in all disciplines required for a startup to thrives from legal to human resource management and from prototyping to digital marketing.
The teams undergo a rigorous four-week intensive online sprint in August, known as Ramp Up, the finalists of which will join the Brinc MENA portfolio and family. Selected startups will commence the full acceleration program online, and onsight from the IoT hub in Manama, Bahrain from October to December.
The Brinc MENA Accelerator will be open to global IoT early-stage startups.
Brinc MENA’s portfolio includes Smart Nakheel, a regionally focused company solving the challenge of red palm weevil infestation in date palm trees. The company has gone into mass production and is exporting to five countries in three continents. The other portfolio companies include Honey Flow Africa, a digital beekeeping platform for farmers that uses data-driven insights to optimize honey production and processing; Hayatech, a connected hardware platform that fosters employee well-being through preventative healthcare solutions; Rabt, which designs and develops connected hardware and software applications for tracking, communication, health, automation and safety. Rabt first product is Hajj Gear and Hajj Belt, a mobile and web-based application which aims to secure Muslim pilgrims’ annual journey into Mecca.
