Stay home, stay safe, and try these 8 Bahraini cafes!

Support comes in many different forms, but wouldn’t it be fun to show support while doing something you love at the same time? Say, like drinking a cup of coffee perhaps? Well, that’s exactly what you can, and should do during these challenging times: support local businesses, in this context, local cafes!

We at Startup MGZN wanted to help you out a little bit, so we listed 8 local cafes we think you should try out. Best part is, since it’s #QuarantineTime and you’re on the inside, we listed you ones that offer delivery service.

  1. C45 Artisan Brewery

You’ll thank us for introducing you to this gem of a place. We recommend you try their Cereal Latte, Flat White, Cold Brew, and Iced Americano. What’s really great about C45, is that it merges between great taste, and even greater price ranges. You get your coffee at extremely reasonable prices! Their yumminess also includes their cookies, which you might also wanna try with any choice of coffee, they’re divine.

  1. Crust & Crema

You probably already know Crust & Crema, they’re quite popular around Bahrain. Their espresso is the perfect kick to your morning, along with their (not at the same time, of course, we wouldn’t want you to have a caffeine overdose!) Dutch Coffee. If you’re into Brazilian Açaí bowls, you’d be thrilled to know they serve a fair range at Crust & Crema. Our personal favorite is their Peanut Butter and Berries Açaí. Give it a go!

  1. Higher Grounds

Now, if you love the taste of coffee, but don’t want to be entirely overwhelmed by it, Higher Grounds is for you! We’d recommend trying their Cappuccino, and their Flat White too. These types of caffeinated beverages usually have more milk in them, which BTW, you can ask for alternatives. Great for lighter choices of coffee as we mentioned earlier. Another thing we love about Higher Grounds, is their incredibly delicious, healthy, and nutritious food that’s quite varied with vegan options as well. No one’s left out!

  1. Grind

Another popular option among coffee enthusiasts in Bahrain is Grind. If you’re not a coffee expert, it’d be easy for you to confuse drinks. Especially Cortados and Flat White. But in Grind, they’re distinctively different, each has its unique and delicious taste; and we recommend you try both! Try either with a salted cookie; it’s a match made in heaven. You can also choose your preferred coffee beans, if you like it extra strong, or a little easy on your taste buds.

  1. Black 22

One really great thing Black22 are doing, apart from their great coffee, is giving away medical masks for those who need it. When you order your coffee, make sure you mention you’d like one! Back to coffee; one thing Black 22 are famous for, is their affogato. Affogato is basically ice cream with a shot of espresso. Needless to say, we’re fans of it. They also have a wide variety of desserts, of which our favorite is their Seasalt Brownies. Goes so well with their espresso!

  1. C+

C+ Cafe are doing a cute initiative where they’re giving out free coffee for the medics of #TeamBahrain, as a thank you for their extremely admirable efforts. But apart from their warm initiative, their warm coffee will steal your heart as well. Our favorite is their Cold Brew, if you’re aiming for something cold. If you prefer hot drinks, we’re fans of their cortado too! All in all, you won’t regret giving C+ a try, trust us.

  1. Espresso

Espresso, as its namesake implies, is ideal for fans of groundy, if we may say, coffee. It’s really, really delicious. They have a House Signature drink called ‘Cococino’ that’s served both hot or cold (our go-to is the cold one) and let us tell you, folks, it’s so darn good. We’d also recommend you go nuts with their menu, as they have a good variety of options for those who are on the sweeter end of coffee consumption; like their Saffron-based Sunshine Latte, or their Pistachio Frappuccino.

  1. Roast

When we think of Roast, the first drink to come to our minds is their Matcha Latte. That’s how good it is. If you’re not familiar with Matcha; it’s a green tea powder that gained a lot of popularity recently. A Matcha Latte would then have it, plus some creamy milk (they offer alternatives) and sugar. If we were to continue talking about Roast, we’d tell you to try their smoothies (eyes on their Mixed Berries Smoothie), and their Cold Brew if you’re in for some strong coffee.

We listed 8, but we’re more than positive that Bahrain has way more delicious local cafes. We wanna know your favs, send them a shoutout on our social media platforms on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn!
