Times are changing, the tasks we used to take days to complete are now done with a click of a button. That’s the case with pretty much every area of our lives, with every industry, there’s a platform. Today, we bring you the story of one Bahraini platform in the car service industry, Al-Fazaa!
Al-Fazaa was born after its founders, Applied Sciences University students Ali Mattar, A.Rahman Alfayez, A.Rahman Helal, Ahmed Alsaeed, and Rashid Eid, met up at an entrepreneurship program at INJAZ Bahrain that required them establishing a company with a quality product.
The application offers a variety of services, ranging from car care and washing, garage services, spare parts, rims, to even emergency contacts.
The team has received great support from YK-Almoayyed, as the latter were interested in the application’s idea from the very beginning of its formulation and saw that it adds significant value to their business, which provided a great start to their business.
It’s noteworthy to mention that Al-Fazaa has won “Product of the Year” at INJAZ Al-Arab’s 13th annual entrepreneurship competition that was held in Oman this year. From that standpoint, the team advises local startups to give high importance to market research. “Market research is essential. Scan the market and find the gaps/needs that are not fully fulfilled in the market.”
Speaking of challenges, the team’s biggest obstacle, as they shared, was in the IT (Product Development) aspect since none of them had a background in IT or develop the application and make it what it is today. But that didn’t stop them from going forth with their product! To overcome this challenge, they outsourced product development.
With their current impressive round of success, we asked the team where do they see Al-Fazaa in the upcoming five years, to which they responded with, “We see Al-Fazaa as the most reliable application that offers a lot of diversity in Bahrain’s car and automotive services sector. We also see the beginning of our expansion in the GCC region!”
By now, we’re sure that you’re wondering what’s the deal with the name. What does it mean or symbolize? Well, the team wanted to choose a name that represents their culture and their commitment towards their clients. Al-Fazaa literally means the provision of quick and reliable service, anytime, and anywhere, at short notice, which is representative of their offering.
