The Global Shapers Community is a network of 450+ Hubs led by young leaders contributing to their respective local communities and committed to improving the global state of the world. In Bahrain, we have the Manama Hub – led by Hamad Al-Mahmeed, the Hub Curator (2015-2016).
“We started our chapter in 2014, bringing together a group of young Bahraini leaders who are capable of making a significant positive impact towards the country’s socio-economic development,” said Al-Mahmeed. “The goal is to empower a diverse group of exceptionally talented individuals who are passionate about giving back to Bahrain to deliver sustainable socio-economic solutions.”
The hub’s first project (in partnership with Tamkeen), Khibra, connects people to share their knowledge and experience through a robust mentorship program for entrepreneurs and career oriented individuals; in addition to maintaining an internships vacancy bank, all in one platform.”
